Cyber Police Station is dealing with cases registered specially under Information Technology Act, (Amended 2008) along with IPC & other Acts.

Role/ Responsibility of Office

To provide periodical training to Aurangabad Rural Police personnel in Cyber Crime Investigation.
To participate/arrange Cyber Crime Prevention/Awareness programmes in Schools, Colleges and Institutions /Organisations.
Cyber Police Station also provides technical assistance to investigating Officers of the Local Police Stations, Crime Branch Units and other Branches from Aurangabad Rural Police

Goals/Targets

Training workshop on new and emerging Cyber Crime related subjects and topics (At least 03).
Fortnightly and continuous training for Cyber Police Station officers.
Quarterly Refresher training for officers and staff of ‘Cyber Crime Investigation and Prevention Cell’ of each police station .
Cyber Crime Awareness programmes.
Maximum disposal of pending cases at Cyber Police Station.
Maximum detection of Cyber Crime cases, special teams for detection.
Updation of database for Fraud bank accounts and Vishing call numbers.
Use of various Cyber Forensic Tools in Cyber Lab, especially ENCASE and UFED 4 PC apart from freewares.
Understanding the working of Dark/Deep net and its use in Cyber Crime Prevention and Detection.
Speedy disposal of all correspondences.
Speedy disposal and positive approach towards the public complaints.
Granting and recommending timely rewards of officers and staff for motivation
